Study in Greece events in Tampa – Florida

On November 17 and 18, the partners of Study in Greece in the U.S.: Dr. Nicolas Prevelakis, Associate Senior Lecturer on Social Studies, and Ms. Kelly Polychroniou, Head of the Modern Greek Program at Boston University, traveled to Tampa for three SiG promo & info events. On Thursday November 17th, the SiG ambassadors met with faculty members of the University of Tampa, and presented Greek Higher Education’s internationalization actions, highlighting the wide range of international study programs and academic collaborations that are being established in Greece within the last years. On Friday November 18th, students of UT had the opportunity to visit the booth of Study in Greece and get informed about various study abroad opportunities in Greece, in the context of the International Education Week hosted by UT Office of International Programs. On the same day, the SiG representatives, accompanied by the Consul General of Greece in Tampa, Mr. Loukas Tsokos, also visited the University of South Florida where they delivered a Study in Greece presentation, providing participants with an understanding of opportunities for their own institution’s academic collaboration with institutions in Greece.

The Study in Greece events in Tampa are included in a set of actions orchestrated by SiG, which aim to promote Greek universities abroad and provide information to students around the globe who wish to study in Greece.

We want to express our warmest gratitude to the Consul General of Greece in Tampa for his considerable efforts to promote Greek Higher Education, as well as for his continuous support to Study in Greece.

We would also like to warmly thank Ms. Lisa Yarmosh, Education Abroad Advisor at the University of Tampa, for the invitation and her willingness to foster collaboration between UT and Greek universities.

Special thanks to our partners in the U.S. – Mr. Nicolas Prevelakis and Ms. Kelly Polychroniou for their significant contribution to our project.
