Visit facilitated by Study in Greece brings CSCSE and 18 Chinese institutions to the Athens campus a day after the Sino-Hellenic Higher Education Workshop
A day after the Sino-Hellenic Higher Education Workshop, the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) and representatives of 18 Chinese higher education institutions visited the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens on Wednesday, facilitated by Study in Greece (SiG).
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Rector Prof. Christina Koulouri, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and International Relations Prof. Maria Meng-Papantoni, and Dr. Eleni Vasileiou, Head of the European Union and International Partnerships Directorate, together with professors and students of the university.
Rector Koulouri and CSCSE Director General Li Zhi delivered remarks, stressing the importance of the academic collaboration between two countries. Two professors from the Chinese delegation then presented how their universities are advancing internationalization. The Rector and the Director General exchanged gifts, after which the delegation toured the campus, a place rich in history and stories of its own.
The visit is part of the “Sino-Hellenic Higher Education Workshop 2026” and SiG’s continuing work to support the internationalization of Greek higher education by connecting Greek universities with partners abroad. SiG hopes such meetings will lead to ever closer cooperation between Greek universities and foreign institutions, and it warmly welcomes more international students to Greece.
