Representatives of the Hellenic Chinese Culture Association (HCCA) and members of China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNPIEC) came on Friday 21st July 2023 at the Voutes University Campus in Heraklion. The delegations were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning, International Relations & Outlook Prof. G. Kosioris, as well as representatives of various services of the Institution.

During the meeting, in the presence of the Regional Vice Governor for Tourism and e-Government of the Region of Crete, Dr. K. Kotsoglou, reference was made to the new initiatives and innovative actions of the UoC as well as educational partnerships in progress between the University of Crete and Chinese Universities. The possibility of using the rich cultural heritage as a driver for enhanced cooperation and development of joint activities during the next academic year was further discussed.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong and historical bonds connecting the two countries.
