Study in Greece (SiG) successfully participated in the 7th International Graduate Fair “Beca Generación del Bicentenario,” organized by PRONABEC, the National Scholarship and Student Loan Program of the Peruvian Ministry of Education. The event, held virtually on November 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Peruvian time), brought together more than 70 top-ranked universities and international organizations to present their graduate programs to over 18,000 aspiring Peruvian students and professionals.
Representing Greece as an international study destination, Study in Greece conducted its presentation from 15:00 p.m. to 15:30 p.m. (Peruvian time). The session introduced Peruvian participants to all Greek public universities, highlighting postgraduate programs taught in English, unique cultural experiences, and the overall value of studying in Greece.
During the 20-minute session followed by a Q&A session, Study in Greece covered:
- A brief overview of the internationalization process of Greece’s higher education and the organization’s role in promoting it.
- Postgraduate programs taught in English, with a focus on cutting-edge fields and global relevance.
- Admission requirements, application deadlines, and guidance for international students.
- Introduction of the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (IKY), which provides funding opportunities for international students pursuing postgraduate studies in Greece.
- Cost-effective living expenses and the vibrant lifestyle in Greece, including its rich history and natural beauty.
The International Graduate Fair, under the Bicentennial Generation Scholarship, aims to provide full scholarships to outstanding Peruvian students for graduate studies at the world’s top universities, as ranked by QS, THE, and ARWU. This event fosters academic mobility and international cooperation, and Study in Greece is proud to have contributed to this initiative by promoting Greece as an emerging hub for world-class education and research.
