University of Crete Retains Prestigious “HR Excellence in Research” Award

The University of Crete has once again retained the prestigious “HR Excellence in Research” award, a distinction it has held continuously since 2012. It remains the only university in Greece to have achieved this honor.

Following the successful completion of its evaluation for the HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) logo, as officially announced by the European Commission and the Euraxess network, the University of Crete received the “HR Excellence in Research” award.

The process was concluded after a visit by the evaluation team to the University’s facilities, with excellent results. The award will remain with the University of Crete for the next three years, until 2027, when a new remote evaluation will take place. It is worth noting that the University of Crete is the only university in Greece to have consistently held this high-profile certification, awarded by the European Commission, since 2012.

The benefits of this distinction include the international recognition of the University of Crete as an institution that supports high-level research and the excellent research environment it provides to its researchers.

In the coming period, the University of Crete is committed to implementing the action plan it revised and submitted to Euraxess, aiming to continue supporting its community and enhancing its research efforts.

It should be noted that the “HR Excellence in Research” logo can be used in research proposals, further boosting the visibility and competitiveness of the institution’s projects. The coordinator of the process was Professor Dimitrios Anglos.
