SiG in the 7th International Summer University Program

SiG, represented by its Director of Academic Affairs – Dr. Theodoros Papaioannou, participated in the 7th International Summer University Program: Greek Language, Culture and Media, Language and Freedom of Expression, an innovative summer school organized by the School of Education of University of Ioannina –Department of Early Childhood Education, Laboratory for the Study of Social issues, Mass Media, and Education, the Modern Greek Studies Program of the Department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts of Macquarie University and the Circle of Hellenic Academics in Boston.

Operating under the auspices of the Municipality of Hydra, and fully supported by the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy and Study in Greece, the summer school – initiative of the Prof. of the University of Ioannina Nikoletta Tsitsanoudis Mallidis, aims to provide a fertile ground for reflection on some of the most crucial subjects of the transition era we are living in.

How the internet is changing the way we think, read and remember, and how the web-dominated world impacts the way we perceive reality as well as the way we use our language? Which are the most significant changes in the way we live, communicate and socialize in the digitized environment?
