Greece at the 2025 “Feria Educativa Europea” in Caracas, Venezuela

On Saturday, September 20th, the 2025 “Feria Educativa Europea” took place in Caracas, Venezuela, at the Centro Cultural de Arte Moderno (CCAM). This fair was organized for the 8th consecutive year by the Delegation of the European Union to Venezuela, with the goal of presenting young Venezuelans with a variety of study programs, mainly for master’s degrees and postgraduate degrees, in the European continent.

Among other countries such as France, Germany, Spain and Portugal, Greece had a strong presence at the fair. The turnout was all around exceptional, with a large and enthusiastic crowd of young people showing keen interest in international programs in Greece. With a booth providing information about the Greek academic landscape, an in-depth radio interview and a comprehensive presentation of Greek higher education and study opportunities in Greece by professor Costas Palamides in a packed auditorium, a great sign of increasing interest in Greek studies in far reaches of the globe.

It is worth noting that this endeavor would not have been possible without the invaluable support by the Embassy of Greece in Venezuela, the Greek community in Venezuela and the Centro Cultural Griego de Venezuela, all of which undertook Greece’s participation and presented Greek higher education to the Venezuelan audience. Benefits from the fair were immediately apparent: within a single day, more than 100 requests for information and contacts for collaboration were sent to the coordinating parties. In fact, the Centro Cultural Griego de Venezuela is already receiving inquiries and applications from Venezuelan students who wish to study the Greek language.
