The European American Women’s Council (EAWC) held its 26th Annual Artemis Awards Ceremony on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Zappeion Hall in Athens, with an audience of distinguished leaders and celebrities from Greece and around the globe in attendance. This year’s prestigious ceremony was graced by the presence of his Excellency Mr. Tsunis, Ambassador of the US to Greece who delivered his remarks, as well as by the Mayor of Athens, Mr. Kostas Bakoyiannis who welcomed international participants to Athens.

EAWC recognizes individuals who have made a global impact in the human services, the arts, politics, economics, environment, education and the media.

Prof. Christos Michalakelis, President of Study in Greece, was honored with this year’s Award for the project’s significant contribution to the extroversion and internationalization of Greek Universities.

Other recipients of Artemis Award included Monica Belluci, Paulo Coelho, Sting, Eric Burdon, Marios Frangoulis, Nikos Hatzinikolaou and Dora Bakoyiannis.
