Greece–India Academic Collaboration Series – Vol. 1: Greece Meets India
The first session of the Greece–India Academic Collaboration Series — Vol. 1: Greece Meets India — was successfully held, bringing together Indian universities, researchers, and students for a lively introduction to Greek higher education.
Organized by Study in Greece (SiG) in collaboration with the Embassy of Greece in India, the webinar featured opening remarks from SiG leadership and the Greek Ambassador to India, who emphasized the importance of strengthening educational ties between the two countries.
Participants had the chance to:
- Explore the structure of the Greek higher education system
- Discover a wide range of English-taught undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs
- Learn about opportunities for mobility, joint degrees, and collaborative research
- Get introduced to SiG’s digital platforms:
@SiG – the official application hub for international students
MatSiG – the platform connecting universities and researchers for academic partnerships
The session concluded with a lively Q&A discussion, where both sides highlighted a strong mutual interest in strengthening academic ties between Greece and India. The discussion focused on exploring various forms of collaboration, including student and faculty exchange programs, joint degrees, and short-term courses. Participants from Indian universities expressed interest in a wide range of academic fields for potential partnerships. The conversation confirmed a shared commitment to building sustainable partnerships, with plans for the future.
