Study in Greece meets Global Greece

On March 16th, Study in Greece in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing a one-day conference dedicated to the Greek language

Scope:

Aimed at connecting Greeks and Philhellenes from around the globe with the Greek universities, this event will reflect our shared vision, and showcase the projects and tools developed by SiG to promote the Greek language globally, attract international students to Greece, and create bridges between the Greek diaspora and the Greek academia.

Overview:

  • Presentation of the Faros Global Community platform, a digital portal mapping out all the Greek language and culture departments, programs and hubs around the world, aimed at facilitating connections and fostering collaboration between international and Greek universities through the prism of the Greek language, history and culture.
  • Presentation of “e-λληνομάθεια”, a project aimed at offering interested people from across the globe the opportunity to learn Greek in an easy and fast way, as well as preparing prospective international students to study at Greek-taught programs of Greek universities.  
  • Presentation of Study in Greece’s strategy regarding the promotion of Greek universities globally and recruitment of international students, particularly to Greek-taught programs
  • Spotlight on telling examples of joint academic initiatives between international and Greek universities, focusing on Greek language and culture.
