The Association of Book Publishers (SEKV) will hold the annual book festival at Zappeion Hall from September 2nd to September 18th.
This year’s festival, which is recognized as the largest celebratory event in the field of books, will have an anniversary character, as it is its fiftieth edition. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, the 50th Book Festival is hosting a series of events around the Asia Minor Catastrophe as an element of identity in Greece today, with the participation of prestigious speakers and cultural institutions. At the same time, the Book Festival, listening to the “signs of the times”, gives the stage to speeches by experts (psychologists-pedagogues) on the subject of Diversity and Racism in its various manifestations.
Finally, 10 years since the death of the academic, playwright and lyricist Iakovos Campanellis, the Book Festival organizes a tribute to the great contribution of the Greek creator.
Officially inaugurated yesterday, at 20.00, the festival will be open the following hours:
Monday-Thursday, 18.00-22.30
