Job Description:

The Marketing Specialist will lead event planning, international education fair coordination, and promotional campaign execution to elevate the global presence of Greek Higher Education. Responsibilities include strategizing and executing events, coordinating participation in fairs and conferences, and developing diverse promotional campaigns targeting international student recruitment. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective outreach and engagement with prospective students and stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in event management, marketing strategy, and cross-channel promotion to achieve objectives effectively.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Execution: Strategically plan and execute events that promote Greek Higher Education globally. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the success of events.
  • International Education Fairs and Conferences: Coordinate Study in Greece’s participation in international education fairs and conferences. Represent Study in Greece at events, engaging with prospective students and stakeholders.
  • Promotional Campaigns: Develop and implement promotional campaigns to attract a diverse pool of international students. Utilize various marketing channels to maximize the reach of promotional activities.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in event planning and execution is essential.
  • Familiarity with the international education sector is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment is essential.
  • Willingness to travel for international events as required is expected.

Assistant Director

Department of Academic Affairs

This position supports the promotion of international study programs of Greek universities, as well as the building of international academic partnerships and the development of joint academic initiatives between Greek and international universities. 

Job Description: 

The Assistant Director will report directly to the Director of Academic Affairs, working closely to cultivate meaningful collaborations and facilitate seamless communication between Greek and international higher education institutions. Responsibilities include advocating for SiG’s needs with both Greek and foreign universities and departments, as well as partnering with international organizations, foreign embassies in Greece, and Greek diplomatic missions abroad to foster collaborations and ensure compliance with relevant policies and best practices in Greek higher education. Furthermore, the Assistant Director will be tasked with developing a comprehensive long-term strategy to address evolving needs within the Greek and global higher education landscape.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Engage with departments in Greek universities to inform, establish connections, and strengthen relationships with international universities, partnering organizations, and other key stakeholders within higher education policy, academic, and research communities.
  • Provide support to Greek universities in their global engagement efforts by developing international programs and expanding the institutions’ global presence.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to formulate and execute long-term departmental objectives, actively participating in strategic planning, proposal development, and the creation of promotional materials.
  • Serve as an expert in higher education partnerships and capacity building, offering specialized knowledge and guidance in this field.
  • Prepare reports and deliver presentations on collaborative initiatives and synergies between Greek and international higher education institutions.
  • Create briefs, concept papers, memos, and other materials to effectively communicate information to key stakeholders.
  • Organize and execute promotional and informational events such as webinars, workshops, presentations, and talks, focusing on study opportunities in Greece for international students and potential partnerships with Greek universities.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders to evaluate and refine strategies for internationalization, implementing impactful programmatic activities as a result of this collaboration.
  • Stay abreast of current and evolving international higher education issues, conducting research on global educational trends to inform decision-making and strategy development.

 

Requirements:

An ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree and 3 years of work experience building and proving a combination of the following qualifications, experiences, and skills:

  • Knowledge of the Greek higher education environment and policy issues.
  • Knowledge of and passion for issues related to internationalization of higher education, study abroad, and academic diplomacy. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure while remaining flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Strong analytic, critical, and strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through and push projects to completion while handling competing responsibilities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English, especially for describing complex subject matter in clear and concise ways. 
  • Self-motivated with a desire to continuously improve skills and develop professionally.
  • Demonstrated commitment to building and maintaining a healthy, respectful, and inclusive organizational culture that prioritizes diversity and equity.
