The welcome ceremony for the students of the two undergraduate English –
taught programs at NKUA

A welcome ceremony for the students of the two English-taught undergraduate programs “BA Program in the Archaeology, History, and Literature of Ancient Greece” operating for the third year with a total of 64 undergraduate students from 21 countries (Egypt, Albania, Australia, France, Germany, Georgia, El Salvador, United Arab Emirates, USA, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Great Britain, Norway, South Africa , Netherlands, Ukraine, Poland, Sri Lanka) and “Medical Degree” which will operate this year for the first time, with the participation of 40 students from 11 countries (England, Germany, USA, India, Jordan, Canada, Cyprus, Lebanon, Maldives, South Africa and Finland) was organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The event took place on Thursday, September 29th at 12.00 in the Great Hall of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (central building, 30 Panepistimiou St.).

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Niki Kerameos, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andreas Katsaniotis, the Rector of the University of Athens Thanos Dimopoulos, the Professor of Medicine and President of the Medical School of Athens Petros Sfikakis and the Professor of Philology at the University of Athens Eleni Karamalegkou, whom the Minister congratulated for their tireless efforts to strengthen the extroversion of Greek Universities.
