The non-profit educational organization College Year in Athens/DIKEMES and Study in Greece SiG), Greece’s national agency for the internationalization of Higher Education, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the objective to promote Greece as an educational destination and to attract students from American institutions to public Higher Education Institutions in our country. The collaboration framework between the two entities includes areas of mutual interest, such as the promotion of Greek university programs and the endorsement of international programs in foreign countries. Additionally, the two organizations will jointly organize and participate in education exhibitions, science conventions, seminars, and research conferences, while developing digital platforms and tools to enhance the international visibility of Greek education.
About Study in Greece (SiG)
Study in Greece (SiG) is the non-profit organization established by Greek universities to support their internationalization efforts. It is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors, consisting of academics from Greek universities, and operates under the auspices of four Greek ministries: Education, Religion and Sports, Foreign Affairs, Culture, and Tourism. Its mission is to establish Greece as an international academic destination for education and research. This objective is realized through a series of initiatives, including the promotion of Greek universities, the development of a digital ecosystem, consisting of various digital platforms, and the provision of guidance to the academic community, among others.
About CYA/DIKEMES
College Year in Athens is a non-profit educational institution operating in Greece since 1962, offering English-language study abroad programs to students from American universities, with a focus on Greece and the Mediterranean. Since 1997, it is exclusively represented by the International Center for Greek and Mediterranean Studies (DIKEMES), functioning as a non-profit organization with its own faculty and academic facilities next to the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro).
