New distinction for NKUA In the top 25 Universities worldwide in collaborations

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is one of the 25 top global Universities in the field of academic and research collaborations with local and foreign Institutions.

The “Collaborations” section, which highlights and evaluates the collaborative behavior of each institution, is evaluated by U-Multirank with the following seven sub-criteria:

(a) cooperation in strategic research partnerships,

(b) students in international joint degrees,

(c) internship students,

(d) international co-publications,

(e) co-publications with industry partners,

(f) regional co-publications

(g) patents which have been jointly developed with companies from the private sector and industry in particular.

In addition, NKUA is the leading University among the 14 Greek Universities included in this ranking, receiving the highest score “A” in 8 out of the 29 indicators of the ranking. Τhe University of Crete and the University of the Aegean with 6 indicators are following, while it is particularly important that seven Greek Universities have the highest score in at least five indicators and above.

The U-Multirank, created by the European Commission and co-financed by the Erasmus+ program, is an annual ranking tool for Universities, aiming to classify them from a wider range of factors, surpassing the traditional indicators of other known rankings.
