Following the strategy of developing important international collaborations, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB), aiming at the creation of a framework of academic cooperation and joint research between the two universities.

Signed by the President of HUEB, Professor Dr. Bing Liu and the Rector of AUEB, Professor Dimitris Bourantonis, the Memorandum of Cooperation promotes the creation and implementation of collaborative educational programs through the exchange visits of teaching staff and students. The enhancement of academic performance and teaching as well as the promotion of quality education constitute the program’s principal goals.

The Vice Rector of International Cooperation and Growth at AUEB, Professor Vasilis Papadakis stated: “The current collaboration is integrated in the framework of our internationalization strategy which is based on the establishment of long-term relationships with internationally-recognized academic institutes in scientific fields of common interest.”

The meeting consisted of: Mr. Wang Qiang, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Greece, Mr. Tian Lei, Cultural Attaché in the Chinese Embassy in Greece, Professor Dr. Bing Liu, President of HUEB, Professor Dr. Zhiqiang He, Vice President of HUEB, Professor Liwei Shang, Director of Office of Foreign Affairs of HUEB, Professor Dimitris Bourantonis, Rector of AUEB, Professor Vasilis Papadakis, Vice Rector of International Cooperation and Growth at AUEB, Professor Vasilis Vasdekis, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Personnel at AUEB.
