Study in Greece in collaboration with the Department of Law at Goldsmiths University of London and academics from Greek universities – University of Macedonia, Harokopio University, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences – co-organized the Summer school on Human Rights Law, Policy and Practice: Britain, Greece and the EU.
The one-week intensive program provided a range of courses as well as cultural activities in order for the students to get to know the cultural heritage and natural wealth of Greece and to choose our country for future studies.
The courses were about Human Rights in Greece and Europe, the 2009-2018 Financial Crisis in Greece, the 2015 Refugee Crisis and a brief history of migration which were presented by exceptional Professors and experts.
The students had also the opportunity to visit historical landmarks in Athens such as the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, as well as contemporary buildings such as Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center & the National Library of Greece.
The summer ended in the best way with a farewell event that was held at the residence of the British Ambassador in Athens, the presentation of the students’ final report, followed by a reception.
