The team of the Department of Pharmacy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki has been honored, for the second year, with one more outstanding award, in the framework of the “Simcyp 2021 Academic Awards”.

George Mystridis, PhD candidate in the Department of Pharmacy and Ioannis Vizirianakis, An. Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics of the Department of Pharmacy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, won the Award in the category for “The Most Effective Teaching Application”.

The award of the scientific team concerns a project carried out at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki while it is related to modern innovative developments in the field of medicine, with the development of pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine / medical precision. Besides, this effort has already been reflected as an idea and a way of clinical utilization and application in the unique internationally “Handbook of Personalized Medicine” of Associate Professor Ioannis Vizirianakis, which was first published in English in 2014, and then in Greek in 2020.
