In the Shanghai Ranking of 2021, the National and Technical University of Athens noted important distinctions, with the most prominent one in the field of Civil Engineering, according to the relevant announcement. More specifically, NTUA ranks 4th in the world and 2nd in Europe in this field.

It should be pointed out that the NTUA has always been highly ranked in the field of Civil Engineering, occupying the 7th place in the ranking of Shanghai for the previous three years and remaining in the top 50 for many years in the International University Rankings of QS. However this is the first time it appears in the top five in the world. In total, the NTUA was distinguished in 15 subjects.

This year’s ranking includes 11 Greek universities -in parentheses the number of academic subjects-: University of Crete (8), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (22), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (15), University of Thessaly (4), Agricultural University of Athens (4), University of Patras (8), Athens University of Economics and Business (2), University of Ioannina (3), Harokopio University (1) and University of Piraeus (1).
