एथेंस के राष्ट्रीय और कापोडिस्ट्रियन विश्वविद्यालय का आधुनिक ग्रीक भाषा शिक्षण केंद्र दुनिया में अपने स्तर का सबसे बड़ा है। इसका मुख्य लक्ष्य दूसरी/विदेशी भाषा के रूप में आधुनिक ग्रीक के ज्ञान के स्तर का शिक्षण और प्रमाण देना है। पाठ्यक्रमों को यूरोप की परिषद के अनुसार भाषा ज्ञान के स्तरों में विभाजित किया गया है। एक बार जब छात्र किसी दिए गए स्तर (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 और C2) पर अपना कोर्स पूरा कर लेते हैं, तो वे उस स्तर को समझने, लिखने और बोलने में सक्षम होंगे, जिस स्तर पर वे पाठ के अंत तक पहुँच चुके हैं। ग्रीक भाषा शिक्षण केंद्र के ग्रीक भाषा ज्ञान के प्रमाणपत्र के लिए परीक्षाएं हर मई और सितंबर में होती हैं। ग्रीक भाषा शिक्षण केंद्र के पाठ्यक्रमों में भाग लेने वाले छात्र भाग ले सकते हैं (ऐसा करने के अपने इरादे की घोषणा के बाद) और साथ ही ऐसे व्यक्ति भी भाग ले सकते हैं जो ग्रीक भाषा ज्ञान का प्रमाणपत्र प्राप्त करना चाहते हैं। ग्रीक भाषा शिक्षण प्रमाणपत्र प्रत्येक प्रतिभागी को दिया जाता है जो मौखिक और लिखित दोनों परीक्षाओं में सफल होता है, इसमें एक स्तर होता है और यह यूरोप की परिषद के वांटेज स्तर (स्तर B2) के बराबर होता है। (लिंक)

पात्रा विश्वविद्यालय में प्राथमिक शिक्षा विभाग का क्रॉस-सांस्कृतिक शिक्षा केंद्र विदेशों से स्कूल और विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों के साथ-साथ उन शिक्षकों और नागरिकों के लिए आधुनिक ग्रीक भाषा और संस्कृति कोर्स आयोजित करता है जो या तो विदेशी हैं या जो इस शर्त के तहत ग्रीक मूल के हैं कि उनके पास ग्रीक लाएसेयुम ‘एपोलिटिरियन’ के समकक्ष माध्यमिक शिक्षा का कम से कम डिप्लोमा है। पाठ्यक्रमों में 6 से 20 शिक्षण घंटे शामिल हैं, जिसमें ग्रीक भाषा योग्यता के सभी स्तरों के छात्रों को संबोधित किया जाता है और विभिन्न अवधियों में समझाया जाता है। उपरोक्त पाठ्यक्रमों को छोड़कर यह संभव है कि एक महीने या उससे कम अवधि के कोर्स इस शर्त के तहत बनाए जाएं कि पर्याप्त संख्या में छात्र हों। (लिंक)

थेसाली विश्वविद्यालय की ग्रीक भाषा प्रयोगशाला (GLL) आधुनिक ग्रीक के अनुसंधान, विश्लेषण, सीखने और शिक्षण का केंद्र है। इसे 1999 में स्थापित किया गया था और तब से काम कर रही है। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य आधुनिक ग्रीक को दूसरी और विदेशी भाषा के रूप में प्रसारित करना और पढ़ाना, आधुनिक ग्रीक का अध्ययन और विश्लेषण करना, मुख्य रूप से समाजशास्त्रीय दृष्टिकोण के माध्यम से और अंत में शैक्षिक और भाषाई नीति के मुद्दों में वैज्ञानिक रूप से योगदान करना है। यह अंतरराष्ट्रीय छात्रों के लिए ग्रीक भाषा पर ग्रीष्मकालीन कोर्स प्रदान करता है और अप्रवासी माता-पिता के लिए भाषा परियोजनाओं में भाग लेता है। (लिंक)

The Centre for the Greek Language is a non-profit organization established in Thessaloniki supervised by the Greek Ministry of Education and cooperating with the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs. It provides candidates with the opportunity to acquire the Certificate of Attainment in Greek following examination held once a year every May. The levels for which the Certificate is issued are four (A, B, C, D) and four are the skills examined: listening, reading, writing and speaking. (Link)

The Athens Centre is an educational organization affiliated with more than 20 American colleges and universities which offers courses on Modern Greek to adults, both beginners and advanced, throughout the year. The syllabus for each level has been created to teach the language to adults of all nationalities emphasizing spoken Greek, with parallel development of reading, writing and comprehension skills. The School of Greek Language & Culture “Alexander the Great” is located in Athens as an individual sector of the British Hellenic College for the teaching of the Greek language to foreigners. Each course for every level (A1-C2) starts on the first Monday of each month. The typical minimum duration of which is 2 weeks, meaning 40 hours. In the educational program visits to museums, dinning out with teachers and students, participation in cultural presentations about the Greek language and projection of Greek movies are included. The School cooperates with EURANEK in many European projects. Except for Athens, there are such schools also in Thessaloniki, Mesologgi and Chania as well as in Sofia and Philipoupolis (Plovdiv) in Bulgaria. (Link)

The Hellenic-American Union offers courses in Modern Greek to foreign adults students in Athens. Intensive and non-intensive courses are offered throughout the academic year and they cover all levels of language competency (A1 – beginners to C2 – advanced learners). Students learn to speak, read, write and understand Modern Greek in a motivating and collaborative atmosphere. At the same time, they are prepared to participate – if they want – to the Examination for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek. (Link)

The Hellenic Culture Centre is a private organization specialized in teaching Greek as a second and as a foreign language. It started working in 1995 on Ikaria island, Aegean Sea, where it organized with great success during ten years one of the first summer schools for Greek in Greece, with Greek courses, cultural activities and teacher training for teachers of Greek as a foreign language. It continued its actions in Athens, where it is now based, and in selected places in Greece and abroad (Lesvos Island, Aegean Sea- Brussels). It is addressed to adults of any nationality who wish to learn or improve their Greek Language skills and to get to know Greece and its culture, to foreign residents of Greece, people of Greek origin living abroad, interpreters and translators and to students of Modern Greek in Universities abroad. The International Center for Hellenic and Mediterranean Studies (DIKEMES) is a non-profit organization that promotes the Greek culture through its educational programs. It is located in Athens and its Greek language courses are addressed to students from North American universities through the College Year in Athens (CYA). The Institute for Balkan Studies (IMXA) is an independent legal entity governed by private law, under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs in Thessaloniki. It organizes Greek language courses for speakers of other languages on three levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). It also runs the International Summer School for Greek Language, History, and Culture which offers foreign students and scholars the opportunity to cultivate a knowledge of the Greek language and to learn more about the Greek history and culture. Lexis Greek Language and Culture Centre is operating in Hania of Crete. The Centre offers programs to adults of every nationality who want to learn Modern Greek, to improve it or to perfect their knowledge of the language, and at the same time discover Greece itself, via lively teaching methods and also through various activities that the Centre offers outside the classroom.
