If you are over 18 years old and want to learn Greek, but cannot attend in-person classes, don’t worry: now the Modern Greek Language Teaching Center – Panayiotis Kontos (MGLTC -PK) brings Greek to your home and office, offering you a complete distance learning package for Level A1.
This program meets your need for basic communication in Greek, while also giving you the opportunity to explore modern Greek culture. Additionally, it prepares you for the exams of the Centre for the Greek Language and for obtaining the A1 Greek Language Proficiency Certificate.
Duration: 15 weeks
Total hours: 180 hours, of which 150 hours are asynchronous (self-study) and 30 hours are synchronous teaching in small groups (with instructors from the MGLTC – PK).

- Choose the study time and pace that suits you: most of the teaching is asynchronous, based on clear explanations of the language, with a variety of activities and opportunities for practical exercises. This way, you can determine your study hours according to your daily schedule.
- Make use of the original, digital educational material of the program: 15 teaching units, specifically designed for asynchronous learning, practice all language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). At the same time, they enhance the understanding of Greek culture and society, thereby offering a complete and comprehensive learning experience that combines language with culture.
- Grammar and vocabulary are taught through videos, photos, and audio files, ensuring that their presentation is not only understandable but also engaging.
