The IEEE International Congress on Intelligent and Service-Oriented Systems Engineering (CISOSE 2023) was successfully completed at the Harokopio University of Athens from July 17th to July 20th, 2023. CISOSE 2023 was organized by the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University in collaboration with the IEEE.
The first day of IEEE CISOSE was dedicated to the conference sessions, as well as panels and educational sessions.
The opening ceremony, held on July 18th, 2023, was dedicated to the IEEE Future Technology Summit, with a main theme centered around intelligent machines and their applications. Invited speakers from the academic and scientific community, such as V. Piuri (IEEE Fellow, Università degli Studi di Milano), Paul Watson (Director of the UK National Innovation Centre for Data, Newcastle University), Ruhong Zhou (College of Life Sciences, Zhejiang University), Jie Xu (University of Leeds), Axel Küpper (Technische Universität Berlin, T-LABS), and Kuo-Ming Chao (University of Roehampton & National Engineering Laboratory for E-Commerce Technologies Fudan University), provided insights into cutting-edge research and shaped the future direction of the computer and networking industry.
Over the next two days, during the six individual conferences that were part of IEEE CISOSE 2023, a plethora of research papers were presented on topics including Big Data and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and its testing, Cloud Systems, Mobile and Distributed Applications, Service-Oriented Systems Engineering, and more. The conference also featured numerous internationally renowned invited speakers from academia and industry, including H. Reisig (Humboldt University of Berlin), G. Tsatsaronis (Elsevier), A. Benslimane (University of Avignon), P. Demestichas (University of Piraeus & Wings ICT), and H.A. Jacobsen (University of Toronto), as well as panel discussions and educational sessions.
IEEE CISOSE 2023 attracted over 180 participants from 35 countries, providing them with a unique opportunity for communication, feedback, and networking to foster new ideas, collaborations, and outcomes for the future development of Computer Science and its applications.
The conclusion of the event was marked by a closing ceremony where the best papers from each conference, members of the organizing committee, and volunteer students who supported the endeavor were recognized and awarded.
