Athens, February 20, the establishment ceremony of the Center of Greek and Chinese Ancient Civilizations was held in Athens, the capital of Greece. Greek Deputy Prime Minister Pikramenos and Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan attended the ceremony and gave speeches.
On behalf of the Greek government, Greek Deputy Prime Minister Panagiotis Pikrammenos congratulated the establishment of the center and looked forward to strengthening the comparative research between the two great ancient civilizations, tightening the connection between students and scholars of the two countries, promoting the people of the two countries to better understand each other, and promoting practical cooperation in various fields moving forward.
Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan pointed out that President Xi Jinping’s reply spoke highly of the significance of the establishment of the Center for Mutual Learning of Civilizations between China and Greece, and once again advocated that all civilizations strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, make good use of the essence of all civilizations, and resolve the outstanding contradictions and problems facing human civilization. It will effectively lead the symbiosis of multiple civilizations under the changing situation of a century, and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
