For many people with migration and refugee background, who arrive in Greece, the western way of living is new. This may pose challenges or raise questions about the Greek and the European culture and spirit. Some of the values born in ancient Greece define today’s European identity. Becoming familiar with the European values leads to active citizen participation in the future.
'EUNIC Cluster Athens' and the team of 'Study in Greece' aim to promote European values with a series of six short clips under the title “European values in motion” based on the European Union Charter of Fundamental Rights. In particular, the project, aiming to ease the challenges of integration of immigrants and refugees, highlights the right to education, to dignity, to solidarity and to equality as well as the abstention from violence and the access to justice. The message is delivered to the viewer without the use of words in a simple and comprehensive way.
