210 publishers, 275 stands, 180 cultural events, concerts, theater performances, interactive educational events and much more at the great 51st Book Festival 2023.
The 51st Book Festival is organized by the Association of Book Publishers (S.EK.B.), the Region of Attica and the Organization for Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (O.P.A.N.D.A.) in collaboration with Mikro Paris of Athens and the Network for the Rights of the Child. It is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Athens, the Hellenic Cultural Foundation, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and with the support of Vestart.
The Book Festival, now recognized as the biggest celebratory event in the field of books, is making a big comeback in 2023. Almost the entirety of Greek book production is presented in the Field of Areos, ushering in the new era of the Park.
The main theme of the 51st Book Festival 2023 is “Woman – a Complex Reading,” and it focuses on the contributions of women in Arts and Letters, as well as the obstacles that women have encountered throughout history and continue to confront now.
The poster and cover of the catalog for the 51st Book Festival 2023 are embellished with the work of Giorgos Rorris, a prominent Greek painter.
It is almost likely that the 51st Book Festival will achieve its spiritual, social, and cultural goals for another year, with the help of all those involved in book production and promotion, but most importantly, with the help of fellow readers.
The 51st Book Festival will welcome its visitors in Pedion Areos, daily, from September 1 to 17, 2023 with free entry.
The official opening will take place on Monday, September 4, 2023 at 20:00.
