The largest university delegation from the United States is expected to arrive in Greece in early November in the framework of the IAPP Program Greece, initiated in 2019 by the Institute of International Education IIE and the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. The program aims to renew the educational ties between Greece and the US by promoting enhanced collaboration between the two countries’ HE institutions.
Sharing this vision, representatives from 30 American universities are visiting Greece between November 5-11 to establish new partnerships with Greek public universities and build on existing ones. This visit has been characterized by both sides as a milestone for the confirmation of the cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries and deepens the strategic relationship between Greece and the US in the vital field of Education.
More specifically, more than 70 rectors, deans and professors from prestigious US institutions including Yale, Columbia, Harvard, Princeton, between others, will land in Greece to visit all Greek universities so as to explore and discuss various types of synergies across a wide range of disciplines such as joint research programs, dual & joint degrees, students’ exchange programs, short-term courses, semester abroad programs and summer schools in Greece, etc.
